Orange Coast Eye center is pleased to announce the introduction of the
Tecnis Symfony Intraocular ‘Extended Range of Vision’ lens
When you have a cataract, it means that you have a clouding of the natural lens of the eye. Today this can be easily corrected by Garden Grove eye surgery during which time the damaged lens is removed and a new man-made lens is inserted into the eye. Symfony is the first lens of its kind in the US, to be implanted during cataract surgery, that can provide a full range of high quality vision similar to the zoom lens of a camera. The Symfony lens is approved in more than 50 countries around the world, and has been widely studied with data from numerous clinical studies. Dr. Younger is the first surgeon in Orange County to use the Symfony lens and has been using the Symfony’s predecessor lens, called the Tecnis Multifocal, in Orange County since 2010. In clinical studies, the Symfony lens provides many benefits, including: allowing patients to see objects sharply and clearly at near, intermediate and far away distances, and points in between, high quality vision and a low incidence of halo and glare, which may be perceived as rings or blurring around bright lights.
